VolkerRail Specialist Businesses has the resources and expertise to undertake a wide variety of rail-based development and construction projects. These projects encompass the Signalling, Power and Communications sectors within mainline railways and urban mass transit systems in the UK & Ireland.
An opportunity has arisen for a Construction Manager within our Signalling, Power & Communications (SPC) department.
An integral part of both the management and site teams you will be responsible for advising the Project Manager and the project team on the construction of overhead line works with respect to budget, programme and quality. Additionally, you will provide guidance and direction to the site teams ensuring the project is delivered safely, to the right quality and compliant with Client and Industry standards. You will also ensure that effective change controls are in place to capture alterations to the original project remit.
A skilled communicator with strong organisational ability, you will excel at working to deadlines and possess a proactive ‘can do' approach to both your own work and in how you manage others.
Considerable experience of working within the railway industry, an HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering together with a proven track record of success in directing on site construction teams are essential requirements for this role.
