The project lasted for 11 months and was quite challenging logistically at times. Some of the sub-stations to be replaced were some 800m's inside the famous Rock of Gibraltar - even one on the top!

Our remit even extended to the movement of temporary generation for the periods when the switchgear was out of service.

Our team adopted a flexible working regime where they were available to work any 5 in 7 days to accommodate the MOD.

Other innovations to reduce down time were the base test & pre-commissioning of the equipment prior to installation.

Works were completed on time and within budget.
