24 hour charity football match raises over £3,000

Recent

Staff across VolkerRail took part in a 24-hour charity football match to help raise funds for Down's Syndrome Association, National Autistic Society and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society

The team of 24 played a mixture of four, five and six aside football at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium, from 4pm on Friday June 3 to 4pm Saturday June 4.

Raising £3,250, the team chose these three charities as they have provided help and support for many of the players and their families.

Damian Cook, event organiser and resource development manager at VolkerRail said: “Thank you to everyone who took part and donated. Playing for 24 hours straight was very hard, but the support we received around the clock was amazing. We are delighted to have raised so much money for these three amazing charities.”
