MPT, a consortium of VolkerRail, Laing O'Rourke and Thales, has been shortlisted for two National Rail Awards – the Infrastructure Achievement Award and Safety Achievement Award.
The National Rail Awards aims to reward excellence across every aspect of the railway industry, from contributions made by those on the frontline to astounding achievements on the industry’s biggest projects.
The Infrastructure Achievement Award covers all aspects of infrastructure asset management, including signalling and telecommunications, power supply and digital technologies as well as civil engineering. The Safety Achievement Award encompasses all aspects of safety, including the safety of staff, passengers and the public.
Andy Pritchard, Trafford Park Line project leader, said: “The whole Trafford Park line project team are thrilled that their hard work and achievements have been recognised by the National Rail Awards - not only being shorted listed for one, but two of these industry leading awards.”
The awards event is set to take place in September (dependent on current coronavirus social distancing regulations) at Grosvenor House Hotel, London, and will be hosted by BBC newsreader Huw Edwards.
