This high performance, universal continuous action Matisa B66 tamping machine is the latest stage of a significant investment to enhance the company’s plant division.

Equipped with a Caterpillar C18 engine to reduce CO² emissions and noise, the new machine will work alongside the model delivered in 2019, to provide clients with a faster and more efficient tamping cycle.

Now in the UK, the second B66 tamper will undergo further system testing at VolkerRail’s Frodingham depot, together with tamping at a private railway, in readiness for its first production shift in September, as part of Network Rail’s National Tamping contract.
